The giant tree limbs that snapped off of the tree in our neighbors yard and fell 30 or so feet managed to miss our house. Good thing, as it would have crushed the roof in. Between the wood stove and our generator, we remained warm and pretty comfortable. Lucky for me that the generator wiring I put in a few years ago actually worked, this was the first time we tried it. I would have never lived it down. Our power just came back on a few hours ago. Lots of people around here will not get theirs back for several more days. Quite a mess.
I can't complain, though it was a very busy weekend for me. Much running around and not quite enough rest. We did get a bunch of free firewood out of the deal for next winter. Every cloud, and all of that...
