I want to try this....
Watch this (3 minute) video.
I have to agree with one of the comments made on this video:
"Why didn't my high school guidance councilor tell me about this?"

Paris? Searsport?
We've always enjoyed having sven around. I don't think, however, you will be able to look at him the same way ever again.

It was Cassie's idea, seriously. I'm like a hitman, I'm only doing what I'm told.

EDIT: We decided something was wrong in the picture above right after we took it, we then noticed Sven was wearing his makeup which didn't really fit the nature of the picture. So some rubbing and a few damp cloths later. Here we have it:

Ramdom shots...
People both amuse and disgust me some days. I was just walking down the hall at work when one of my friends was stopped by a woman from another department. She beamed as she showed him a picture of a pretty young girl in a fancy white dress with something resembling a wedding veil on her head. With a big smile she explained that it was a picture of her daughter, taken at said daughters "Holy Catholic Confirmation" (her words) a few days back. My friend said something like, "Great, you must have been excited."
"Oh yeah!" she said,"But what a LONG #%%$ night that was!"
I kept walking.
Nice Catholic girl.
I don't understand why they bother.

On a nicer note, last night I (yet again) presided at one of our monthly meetings at the Lowell Sportsmen's Club. As we always do, I opened the meeting by asking everyone in the room to stand as we face the flag and recite the Pledge of Allegiance. It amazed me how doing that can still send chills down my spine.

Easter Bunny, etc.
I heard an ad on the radio today. It was for a place called D&G Liquors, and was reminding us all to drop by and stock up on all of your liquor needs for Easter. No kidding. They were even running a sale so that you could save some money on it. Cheap booze for Easter, how nice, huh? It reminded me of some folks at a place I worked a job or two back when I happened upon a lunchroom discussion. There was some debate over just what exactly the upcoming Easter holiday was all about. Amazingly, or perhaps not, none of them really knew. There was one guy there who was a regular Catholic church-goer, and while fairly clueless about stuff in general, was at least close. The closest anyone else got was one dumb girl who said something to the effect of "It's some religious thing or sumptin'...right?"The other guy said, yes, it is a holiday to remember the resurrection of Christ. To which the girl replied "What does that mean?" He tried to explain but was not doing so well, so I then jumped in and tried to explain a bit about "what that means". But she kept coming back to the question of how the rabbits and eggs fit in. I tried to tell her that they did not fit in, and had nothing at all to do with it, but had once been used symbols of rebirth, new life, etc., but nothing more than that, just symbols. I went on to explain that at the church I attend and many others, we actively avoided references to bunnies and eggs because they had come to take on entirely too much significance. In the end, I'm not sure much of what I said got through, but there is not much I can do about that part. But it did make me ever more suspicious of this Easter bunny character. A bit of digging on the web has proved that my suspicions are well founded. Just take a look at this!!!

After seeing that, I don't feel at all bad about this one.

Have a great Easter, skip the booze and the bunnies, and if you want eggs, omelets are nice.
