There may be hope yet...
Often I think we get a bit numb to the degree to which the whole "political correctness" thing gets wrapped up, in subtle ways, with the things around us. Of course living here in the northeast, that nonsense flows down from the very top, starting with our politicians and pervading the stuff you see on TV, hear on the radio, read in the papers, etc. So it is refreshing when you see someone who either has not been infected, or simply doesn't care. I find it particularly satisfying when it comes from some corner of the government, who you know would get smacked on the head if they were operating out of the great state of Massachusetts. So I had to smile when I stumbled upon this cute offering for kids, from the Arkansas Post National Memorial Park, a division of the US Department of the interior.

Never in Mass!

This is what I need...
This looks like just the thing for any rodentia that decide to take up residence in our basement and eat my pasta. This thing sort of suits my style somehow:

BANG!

Oh no...
I started off today by burning my toast to the point that there was smoke pouring out of the top of the toaster. Gonna be a rough one.

In other news, We pick up Chaz from camp tomorrow. Everyone misses him around here.
