This year the Anganes Family had a first. Teddy caught the first fish of the fishing dreby. It wasn't a big fish , but it was the FIRST! When you see Ted's casting skillz, you'll know why he's a winner.

Spring is here!
In spite of the unseasonably warm weather we have had recently, you can tell that it is truly springtime because Mrs A. has begun to move rocks around the yard. Sue loves to move rocks around. And she loves to pile them up. For such a tiny little lot of land, we sure have a lot of rocks. This year, she is building a stone retaining wall in the back yard where we had excavated last fall to create (finally!) a level area in the yard. So she began moving rocks into place yesterday, working around the mountain of yet to be split firewood that we have back there. Funny thing is that many of these are the very rocks that Chaz, Andrew and I moved from the middle of the yard and placed along the fence last fall. The very ones that made Chaz say: "You know what the sad thing is? It's that next year, mom is going to make us move these all back someplace else in the yard..."

So as I stacked wood and moved some rocks from the fence back to the middle of the yard, and Sue stacked said rocks against the cut dirt, Ted arrives on the scene, wanting desperately to help out. So Sue sends him to gather up rocks (Ecclesiastes 3:5) and pile them near her wall. Ted is so enthusiastic about this that he zips around the yard, picking up rocks, running back and asking, "is this a good one?!" Of course they are all good ones, so Ted proceeds to plunk them onto the developing wall. This prompts Sue to have to take said rock off, as it is never in the place she wants it. After this happens a bunch of times, Sue finally says:
"Teddy, you can't just drop them on the wall, you have to put them where I tell you. You bring the rocks, I'll tell you where they go. It's sort of like the slaves and the Egyptians!"
Ted replies:
"No it's not. I could just go in the house now, if I wanted to."

A glimpse into the respective minds, perhaps?
