After what has been a nearly unbelievably mild November, December and January, winter kicked in with a vengance and it got really cold around here. And my local weather-babe tells me it is going to continue thus for a while yet. I don't really mind the cold so much, but the single digits with high wind thing gets a bit old after a short while. We still have had very little snow, which is generally OK with me, but a little bit is fun for effect. The only snow we have had was a few inches last Friday night. Mrs A. and I came down on Saturday morning to find this guy staring into the family room window. Mrs A. was visably startled by it, had she been armed I'm pretty certain she would have drawn on him and demanded to know what he was doing there. The hat ought to be the prime clue as to who was responsable for going out in the middle of the night and making this incredable leaning snowman. As the days wore on, he leaned over so much that it was hard to understand how he stayed up. But the thing I enjoyed the most was that sure sign that winter has arrived, the one everybody looks forward to, the appearance of Snow Arabs!
