My head is still spinning.
It has been a while since we updated here. Too much to cover it all, in fact, but I thought I would post some random stuff. It has been a whirlwind of zany fun and activities. The big local Fourth of July scene around here actually took place on the Second of July. Go figure. That is what happens when you have snotty Chelmsford types in charge, I suppose. Anyhow, as happens every year, there was a 2 mile road race just prior to the parade. Our group was well represented by Sven, Chaz, and Tessa, who actually manages to become airborne. The parade followed. There were many high points. This years parade saw the return of Crazy Herman. This guy has been doing this every year since Sue and I where kids, and is pushing 70. Of course, Mark (who clims to have never before seen a parade in person) arrived the day before. He looks truly enthralled by the spectacle. The guy with the cheesey beard (lower right), holding the giant floating Evil Clown is our pediatrician. How very disturbing for Mrs. A. There was a giant turkey. I even managed to get enough time to sit quietly to catch a picture of this cool flying dude.

The next day, we celebrated Cassies birthday. Here she is looking at her present from Mark, a first edition Juxtapose book(tm) while Mark lectures on the nuance involved in producing such a tome. Neither Tessa or Bob could keep the cake off thier faces.

While this is a really crummy picture of Mrs A., that will probably get me in trouble, she is sporting the very first copies of the new FetaFilter tee shirt!

A few days later, we where graced by the arrival of world traveler and famous blogger Heidi B. Heidi blended right into the pace of things here and instantly became one of the gang. She was a pleasure to have around. In this not-so-flattering picture, Heidi is enjoying one of our "foraging" dinners, chowing on a delicious meal of fried potatos, spanish olives and chocholate bars. Yum! Cass just opted for a plate of olives, and Tess felt that she could do without the plate.

Then, all of the older crew took off on a camping trip for a few days, as chronicled by the famous Heidi on her blog. That left Mrs. A. and I with just Ted and Ray. The amazing quiet was short-lived, however, baecuse they all came home a bit early due to rain, bearing huge amounts of wet smelley laundry.

We then sadly had to put Markie back on a plane and see him off. Famous Heidi stuck around for a few more days. After experiencing lots of our strange New England Cult-cha, she unfortunatly also had to leave, but not before leaving her mark here in Middlesex county. Well, at least on our front walk.
