Bored?
|
Well then, here is something fun to try:
http://www.tashian.com/multibabel/
This is a multi-translator engine. Put in an english phrase, and it translates it into a different language and back into english, 10 times, each time using the result of the last translation. The results can be pretty strange. For example, the sentance: "row, row, row your boat, gently down the stream." morphs into: "the chain, chain, rudders its boat, easy in the surface more under possible of the startings."
Wierd. Great way to kill a bunch of time!

Remember Bill?
|
Last Christmas, Marg and Spmarg gave me one of those little desk calenders that you pull off a page for each day. On this one, called "Sound Bites", each days page has a funny or profoundly dumb quote from some politician or political figure. On the page for Tuesday (chosen, no doubt because Tuesday was Flag Day) there was a quote from our recent president Clinton. It struck me so funny that I did a tiny bit of web research, which only made it funnier.
Apparently while on a state visit to Romania, then President Clinton was given a gift of a Romanian flag. The flag had a hole in the middle of it, where the emblem of the despised communist regime had been ripped out. Apparently such flags where common in Romania at the time, as a symbol of the reovolution against the communists. When presented with this profoundly symbolic gift from the Romanian government, President Clinton said:
"Thanks for the Poncho."

Don't try this at home kids...
|
Well, we all know that Chaz is hot stuff, although some folks think he dresses a bit funny sometimes. But funny clothes aside, I thought that Chaz knew to never, EVER play with fire!
No, Chaz, NO! Especially do not play with fire near your mom's VAN!
Yikes! Stay away from that fuel line Chaz!...
OK. While Chaz recovers, at least we have SJ to help with all of the heavy lifting.
